Are there benefits of having a MS in mechanical engineering before getting an MBA?

I have a BS from a top-tier engineering school, and have been working in industry for a large medical device company for a year. I am considering getting an MS (after two years of industry experience) to further my technical knowledge of device design and the industry. I am also interested in global management (for R&D or product development) and am considering that as a long-term career path. Will having the MS be a benefit in B-school or will it be a waste of money and time that could've been spent gaining more industry experience?

It'll benefit you if you decide b-school isn't for you. A MS in Mech E should find you a lot of jobs as well.

OrthoScan Spine Scan Device $2500 Features of the OrthoScan Spine Scan Device: SpineScan is a hand-held, stand-alone device that provides automated means for screening and follow up of spinal deformities postural disorders and range of motion. The information obtained by the SpineScan device should be used as guidelines for the decision whether further medical evaluation is needed. The examination procedure should be held according to the common procedures applied for assessment of patients. SpineScan reliability of angle measurements is proved as being in the same direction and in the range of ±0.5º compared to a known, pre-measured angle. SpineScan can be used by school nurses, chiropractors, hysiotherapists and physicians. This products is CE cleared, certificated by ISO EN-13485 and FDA approved.
