Why pajamas in public???

OK, everyone. Now that I have an answer to my muffin top question, here's something that REALLY bothers me. Why do people insist on wearing pajama bottoms downtown? I mean, how lazy can you get? Really. It looks horrible.

Yes, they are comfortable and there's a reason why they are called "lounge pants" for a reason - you wear them when your lounging at home. Yeah, I wear them in the car when I drop my son off at school on days that I work from home, but that's it. No one sees me.

What's next? I'm scared to ask.

I miss the days when everyone cared about their appearance. Can't we go back to those days? This country spends BILLIONS on fashion/accessories. Yet we are barraged by a parade of pajama-wearing people. Is anyone else tired of the visual assault?

But seriously, does anyone out there really think this trend is attractive?

I mean honestly that is just pure laziness. Whether one be a student, running to the grocery store or to grab a coffee it takes under 1 minute to throw on a pair of jeans and present yourself well. While I agree that we shouldn't live our lives always concerned about what others think of us, its not that challenging to wear appropriate clothing. Pajama bottoms are for sleeping thus meant for the home. I guess people don't take pride in their appearance if they roll out of bed and venture out into public. To each his own perhaps.
